Lexi is currently based outside of Washington D.C where she uses Adobe Photoshop to digitally paint playful and mysterious environments. She takes inspiration from artists like Devin Elle Kurtz and Charlie Bowater who frequently illustrate for animated studios and young adult and children’s book covers. High fantasy novels like A Court of Thorns and Roses and The Shadowhunters Chronicles are some of Lexi’s biggest inspirations. Her work has been published in her university’s art and literature publication Sans Merci and held her first solo exhibit at the university’s library which featured paintings of environments inspired by young adult novels. She started experimenting with photography that combines fantasy with reality. Lexi plans to continue exploring the art of photography and integrating her digital painting into the process.
